About Centre for Biosolutions

The Technical University of Denmark seeks to strengthen the presence of biosolutions by bringing together its biotechnological activities and solutions under the Centre for Biosolutions. The centre serves as a single point of entry for companies, investors, public authorities, and researchers wishing to collaborate with DTU on biosolutions.

DTU is at the forefront of utilizing biosolutions to address industrial challenges.

We invent and develop new biosolutions into robust, scalable and economically viable technologies for industry. DTU works closely with industry to develop and deliver scalable bio based solutions that transform industrial production - from medicine to cement.

The successful deployment of biosolutions requires more than scientific excellence alone. It also depends on supportive regulatory frameworks, targeted investments, and well-functioning markets that enable sustainable solutions to scale.

Equally important is a society that actively embraces the transition, along with a skilled and educated workforce capable of keeping pace with rapid technological development.

The centre’s ambition is to act as a bridge between science, industry, and society in order to accelerate the green transition towards a more independent, secure, and sustainable Europe.
